Sawyer was a great light in my life for almost 10 years. He was diagnosed at
two weeks of age. We thought at the beginning that his would be a
straightforward repair but that was not to be. His complications seemed to
have complications. We listed him for transplant and he received his great
gift June 14, 2001. Almost two months to the day later, he died. Sawyer
loved to play baseball. It was a real joy to him. For a guy as sick as he
sometime was, he sure gave it his all and was even very good though his
little sick heart would not let him run very fast. We miss him more than
words can say. I am so glad that these quilts bring awareness to CHD's. We
are losing way too many babies, children, teens and even adults to CHD.
